COVID-19 tennis information

The tennis court is now available for use by club members only. As of 1st June, players from different households can now play doubles together as long as they stay two metres apart as far as possible, and small group coaching for up to six people (including coaches) can resume.

The strict COVID-19 guidelines as issued by the LTA MUST be followed. Please ensure you read and understand these guidelines before you leave home to play.

The pavilion will remain closed.

A booking system is now in place, so if you wish to book the court for a specific time please go to the Court bookings page. Note: you MUST be a member and have a login to book a court. If you unable for any reason to access the bookings page, you can alternatively email our bookings secretary who will endeavour to make the booking for you. Please use the bookings page if at all possible. If you haven’t booked and are using the court and someone turns up who has booked, please vacate immediately.

As per the LTA guidance a 10 minute gap between different groups using the court is in place, so please ensure that the previous users have fully vacated before entering. If you are waiting for the court to become free, please wait a safe distance from the court entrance.

Use gloves or a cloth when touching any surfaces and ensure that you wash your hands as soon as you get home.

The court is only available for use between 7am and 9pm as access to flood lighting is not possible at this time.

If you are interested in joining the club to use these facilities, then membership is now open. All members joining or renewing this month will have their membership period carried through to the end of May 2021. This extension from the usual renewal date of 1st May is an incentive for new members and a recognition of the loyalty of existing members.
