Membership rates, season and court security.
At the Rusper Sports Club AGM, it was decided to keep the membership fees at the same level as the previous year. i.e. no increase. However, for this season only, the membership validity will be from 1st June 2026 to 30th April 2027. The membership year historically started on 1st May but during Covid this was slipped to 1st June. This 2026-2027 season adjustment will bring the membership year start back to 1st May, starting in 2027.
It was decided to remove the premium payable by non Rusper residents so from now on there will only be one standard fee depending on membership category. This will hopefully encourage more members from outside the Parish.
The issue of court security was discussed, particularly the use of the courts and basketball area by non members. In order to protect the interests of members, he two tennis courts will be fitted with combination padlocks from 1st June, with the combination issued to all those who have paid a membership fee. New signage will be fitted to the tennis and basketball courts advising of the need to be a member to use the facilities together with a QR code for the membership form.
